Goober is a two-year-old Catahoula mix. He is a very sweet and loving dog, but he does need time to build trust before he really opens up. Goober would be a very loyal companion to someone who devoted the time to him. He would be an excellent dog to take on runs or to play in the yard with. He is also very intelligent and picks up on commands quickly. He would do best in a home with no other pets and no small children. If you are interested in Goober, he is located at the Springfield adoption center (1328 West Sunshine St. Springfield, MO).
Founded in 1992, C.A.R.E. is a non-profit organization that provides shelter houses for homeless animals throughout the Springfield area. They are a no-kill shelter that rescues animals from kill shelters and places them in a sanctuary where they can live out their days happily. For animals that can be reintroduced to new families, they have their own Adoption Center, filled with pets like Goober, who are in need of a home. The C.A.R.E. Adoption Center is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., if you're interested in stopping by.
