U.S. News & World Report's annual "Best Cars for the Money" awards were recently administered and Mazda was lucky enough to receive top honors for two of their popular cars: the Mazda3 and Mazda5. With more than 200 vehicles considered for the awards, the competition was stiff but Mazda shined through thanks to their quality, valuable and overall reliable models.

Winners of the Best Cars for the Money awards were chosen in 21 categories and judged according to their U.S. News car ranking, the average price paid for the car and the car's five-year total cost of ownership. The redesigned Mazda3 took home an award in the Compact Car category, while the carried-over Mazda5 rose to the top of the Minivan category for the third consecutive year.

"Finding a great car that's also a great deal is a challenge," said Jamie Page Deaton, managing editor, U.S. News Best Cars. "Our awards are designed to help consumers identify great value cars that have also received critical acclaim and high safety and reliable scores. A good value car doesn't have to be boring - cars with the latest features, great performance and comfortable interiors can also be smart financial choices."

With an MSRP of $16,945, the four-door 2014 Mazda3 is a great value and the Mazda5's $20,140 MSRP makes it a steal as well. Both cars are currently in stock at Reliable Mazda, so if you're looking to upgrade to one of these award-winning models, we can help!
