Mazda Miata fans can officially rejoice and put all of those next-generation Miata rumors to rest, because the automaker has recently confirmed that an all-new Miata is indeed on its way for 2016! Making its introductions this fall, the fourth-generation 2016 Mazda Miata will be unveiled at simultaneous events in the U.S., Europe and Japan on Sept. 3. The news comes just as the Miata is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, making the reveal a special one for the brand and fans alike.

Hints about the next-generation Mazda Miata's upcoming release began at this year's New York Auto Show when a new MX-5 was debuted in the form of a SKYACTIVE-CHASSIS. The rumors then began picking up from there on out, leading up to Mazda's recent announcement about the MX-5 Miata's future. When the new MX-5 debuts this fall, in addition to the global reveal, fans will have the chance to see it in person at the Miatas at Mazda Raceway event, scheduled to be held from Sept. 5-7 in Monterey, Calif. Open to the public, the event is free for all, but registration must be completed on the official site by everyone who'd like to attend.

You can expect to see the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata arrive in dealerships across the country early next year. Be sure to stop by Reliable Mazda when it's released, and we'll give you an exclusive tour of its features and amenities.
