Mazda CX-5 Gets High Marks From National Automotive Outlets

The all-new 2017 Mazda CX-5 has been named the Best Midsize Crossover by Parents Magazine and Edmunds.

Attributes that helped the vehicle win the prestigious recognitions include value, family-friendly features, safety and performance. Available in Sport, Touring, Grand Select and Grand Touring, the CX-5 is one well-made machine.

The five-passenger vehicle sports 17-inch wheels, LED headlights, a four-speaker sound system, two USB ports, Bluetooth, a 7-inch touchscreen and rearview camera. An even healthier helping of amenities can be had on upper trims (Grand Select and Grand Touring). They get things like a moonroof, power liftgate, leather seating, navigation and a premium Bose sound system.

All CX-5’s in Springfield come paired with a 2.5-liter turbocharger that delivers 187 horsepower and 185 pound-feet of torque. The peppy powerplant is matched to a smooth six-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is optional.
