It was ideal for small families and incredibly fun to drive - two qualities that helped establish its fanbase. News about the Mazda5's discontinuation in the U.S. may come as a surprise to fans of the MPV, but with Mazda focused on improving its most popular models and possibly adding new vehicles to the lineup it was a move that needed to be made.
