Mazda has decided to show their appreciation for their customers by offering limited edition Mazda MX-5 RF Launch Edition models exclusively for the U.S. market. Only 1,000 vehicles will be produced of the special model, making it the perfect collector’s item for longtime Mazda fans.
“Rarely does any automaker have a vehicle that garners the sort of loyalty and enthusiasm MX-5 generates—something we don’t take lightly,” said Robert Davis, senior VP, U.S. Operations, MNAO. “MX-5 RF is the next chapter of this storied model line, and we can’t think of a better way to give back than to first offer this bespoke Launch Edition to those who have stuck with us, believing in our mission to deliver the best-driving vehicles on the road.”
Based on the Grand Touring model of the 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF, the Launch Edition will be a highly sought-after example. Like the original Mazda MX-5 RF that premiered at the New York Auto Show, it will don a Machine Gray Metallic paint color, hand-painted black roof panel and feature Auburn Nappa leather interior trim. Buyers will also be able to outfit the model with either a SKYACTIV-MT six-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission.
On top of these perks, owners of the Mazda MX-5 RF Launch Edition will receive a numbered 42mm Tourneau watch. While we won’t have the model in stock at our dealership, fans will able to order the vehicle online from Mazda in the next coming weeks.
