Mazda makes top-notch vehicles that stand apart from the pack, and for this, the automaker is really raking in the awards. Consumer Guide Automotive, a national vehicle outlet, has recently named four Mazda models to its 2017 Best Buys list.

Each year, Consumer Guide Automotive test drives more than 150 models, selecting the top picks in each class that offer great value and features for their segment. Here are four models that recently made the cut:

1. 2017 Mazda6 (Pictured Up Top)

A top-selling car that offers standout style, comfort and power, Consumer Guide Automotive has named the 2017 Mazda6 as the Midsize Car Class Winner. The five-passenger sedan in Springfield, Missouri now comes with a variety of standards that are more commonly offered as add-ons on other vehicles in its class. Opting for the entry-level Sport will get you 17-inch alloys, leather-wrapped steering, keyless entry/ignition, a rearview camera, and a 7-inch touchscreen and six-speaker sound system.

2. 2017 Mazda3

This fun-to-drive cruiser was named the Compact Car Class Winner, and with its high-tech features, sporty design and peppy powerplant, it is easy to see why. For the current model year, the Mazda3 gets a variety of enhancements.

They include new front and rear fascia designs, a new steering wheel, larger storage pockets and a new electronic parking brake for extra storage space on the center console. Mazda has also implemented a new suspension and added G-Vectoring control – updates that both improve ride quality.

3. 2017 Mazda CX-3

This classy cruiser was named the Subcompact Crossover/SUV Class Winner. Called “stylish, easy to park and fun to drive” in an Edmund’s 2017 Mazda CX-3 review, the vehicle is definitely worth considering as your next new ride. Standards include a 7-inch touchscreen, USB port, Bluetooth, a six-speaker sound system, push-start ignition and automatic headlights. Under the hood, you’ll find a spunky 146-horsepower 2.0-liter four that makes 146 pound-feet of torque.

4. 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata

The agile and nimble two-seater was named the Sporty/Performance Class Winner by Consumer Automotive Guide, and for good reason. It comes with an energetic 2.0-liter four-cylinder that produces 155 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic.
