No longer solely offered on the Sport model, the CX-5’s backup camera is now standard on all trims that come equipped with the SKYACTIV-Drive six-speed automatic transmission. Navigation, which was previously available on the Tour and Grand Touring Technology Packages, is also now standard on the Touring model, along with heated front seats. Additionally, all trims come with standard front-wheel drive; however, predictive i-ACTIV all-wheel drive is optional.

For 2016, a SKYACTIV 2.0L engine, generating 155 horsepower, is outfitted on the base Sport model, which also features a six-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive. Other Sport models come equipped with the six-speed automatic transmission that’s matched with a SKYACTIV-G 2.5L engine designed to deliver more power. Touring and Grand Touring models also receive a SKYACTIV-G engine along with a six-speed automatic transmission. On these models, the engine produces 184 horsepower.
