Following the success of the annual Mazda Drive for Good Event, Mazda has donated $5,354,550 to charities across the country. They have also pledged 72,000 charitable hours in 2016 to a multitude of non-profit organizations, resulting in an almost 10 percent increase over last year’s pledges accumulated through the Mazda Drive for Good Event.
Reliable Mazda was just one of several dealers across the country that participated in the Mazda Drive for Good Event held from Nov. 23, 2015 to Jan. 4, 2016. During this time, Mazda agreed to donate $150 to a select local or national charity for every car sold at its dealerships. Each new car owner was able to determine which charity Mazda would donate the money to. Additionally, for every test drive taken during the event, Mazda pledged an hour of charitable service to be carried out in 2016.
"Mazda Drive for Good is in its third year and we are honored to again announce continued growth in donations to our nonprofit partners," said Masahiro Moro, president and CEO, MNAO. "With more than 72,000 hours pledged, volunteering continues to be the best opportunity for our employees and dealers to make a real difference in their local communities."
An assortment of worthy organizations, including American Red Cross, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and American Heart Association, benefited from the Mazda Drive for Good Event. We enjoyed taking part in this year’s drive and we can’t wait to do it all again next year!
