The Northwest Automotive Press Association held their annual “Mudfest” event just last month, where a number of vehicles endured two days of rigorous evaluations as a part of the organization’s Activity Vehicle of the Year competition. The 2016 Mazda CX-3 was just one of the many crossovers put through both on-road and off-road testing, but it was the only one to be named “Best Compact Utility Vehicle” and “Outdoor Activity Vehicle of the Year.”
“I think the Mazda CX-3 was the biggest surprise for our members,” said Ryan Douthit, event chair and producer of Driving Sports TV. “Not only did this subcompact crossover excel on our sealed-surface handling course, it also showed surprising capability on our rugged off-road circuit.”
Complete with Mazda’s suite of SKYACTIV® TECHNOLOGY, the 2016 Mazda CX-3 is primed and ready to take on the open road. The model comes with a 2.0L four-cylinder engine, delivering 146 horsepower and 146 lb.-ft. of torque, as well as a six-speed automatic transmission that backs its power offerings. Available i-ACTIV AWD is what really gives the Mazda CX-3 its edge over the competition; it utilizes over 27 sensors to transfer power before the driver and allows the Mazda CX-3 to adjust how its power is routed more than 200 time per second.
On sale at Reliable Mazda, the Mazda CX-3 is a compact crossover you can count on to meet your daily needs. Come by our dealership to view the model in person or contact us for more information.
