The 2022 Mazda MX-30 Debuts in North America
Generating up to 107 kW, an AC electric motor propels the 2022 MX-30. Based on SAE-approved standards, this powertrain is rated at approximately 143 net hp. When pushed to the limit, the motor generates 200 lb-ft of torque. Using modern lithium-ion chemistry, a 35.5-kWh battery is another primary propulsion component on this all-new Mazda EV. You can use one of three charging styles for the Li-ion battery system. For instance, the Level 1/120-V adapter requires nearly 14 hours to increase the storage status from 20% to 80%. If you plug in the vehicle into a Level 2/240-V portal, you will reduce the charging time by about 11 hours. If you're in a hurry, take advantage of the DC Fast Charging interface. In just over 30 minutes, this advanced hardware recharges the Li-ion battery to a level of 80%. Following the rigorous guidelines from the EPA, the 2022 MX-30 boasts a city MPGe rating of up to 98. When deployed on city streets, this all-new Mazda EV gets up to 85 MPGe. This compact crossover SUV runs for up to 100 miles on a full charge. Equipped with the ELECTRIC G-VECTORING CONTROL PLUS (eGVC+), this nimble electric car also gets good traction on any paved road.
Besides having a superbly efficient design, the 2022 MX-30 also boasts intelligent safety and security features for peace of mind on urban roads. The Lane Departure Warning System will help you stay in a single lane. Similarly, the Lane-Keep Assist will calibrate the steering system if you lose control. The Smart Brake Support might prevent a close call with another car that suddenly slows down ahead of you. Thanks to the Smart Brake Support Rear, you can back up with greater confidence. Rear parking sensors also scan your projected path for any detected obstacles. You can drive at night with more precision and reassurance because of the standard Adaptive Front Lighting System. Additionally, this electric Mazda car has the High Beam Control that senses light from oncoming traffic.
