What's New for the 2019 Mazda CX-9?

The 2018 Mazda CX-9 is the newest vehicle to hit the market from Mazda and the latest to come from the CX-9 model line. The new Mazda CX-9 is a luxury crossover vehicle made for providing comfort and extra room for drivers and passengers. Changes to this year's vehicle are small but significant, such as the inclusion of a new electronic system called G-Vectoring Control, which helps with steering and stability when it comes to turns.

Inventive Features and Trims

The 2018 CX-9 now offers a variety of trim levels and special features to provide drivers some variety. The CX-9 now comes in four trim levels: the Sport, Touring, Grand Touring and Signature models. The Sports model is the basic standard and comes with expected features such as 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic LED headlights, a height-adjustable driver's seat and a six-speaker audio system. The Touring trim is slightly adjusted and comes with new automatic wipers, special heated mirrors, keyless ignition and entry, power-adjustable front seats and adaptive cruise control. The Grand Touring trim includes 20-inch wheels, special adaptive headlights, LED fog lights, a sunroof and a heated steering wheel with an aluminum interior trim to match. The Signature trim level is the top-of-the-line model and comes with exterior LED accent lighting and premium leather upholstery decorating the interior.

2018 Mazda CX-9 FrontThe 2018 Mazda CX-9 is equipped with an engine that is sturdy and durable enough to match the vehicle model. As a crossover vehicle, the CX-9 has been fitted with an engine unique to its brand, being capable of producing a 227 horsepower rating running up to 5,000 wheel rotations per minute. It can also generate up to 310 feet per pounds of torque muscle and tow up to 3,500 pounds of material. The engine has an all-wheel drive and a fuel economy that runs on 23 combined miles per gallon, riding on 20 MPGs in the city and MPGs on the highway, with regular unleaded fuel to help.

Decked Out With Safety Features

2018 Mazda CX-9 RearThe Mazda CX-9, like any new vehicle, is decked out with all new safety features and equipment to ensure that it is a safe ride for all. Car safety is always important when selecting a vehicle, and the new CX-9 is no exception, starting with protecting children with the inclusion of rear door safety locks and seating anchors. The car also comes with blind spot and lane departure warning systems to prevent car accidents by giving other drivers a heads-up when a change is coming. Emergency braking preparation and assist features have been added to all trim models in the event of a brake failure and a pre and post-collision safety system has been included to keep track of the vehicle's status in case an accident does happen. Daytime running lights are present but there are also dusk-sensing headlights included that can react to the time of day and allow the driver to adjust accordingly.
