What's New For 2020 Mazda CX-3?

In 2020, the CX-3 earns the title of Mazda's "new" three-row SUV. The CX-3, known for its sporty appearance and zippy credentials, also gets more comfort and technology this year. The CX-3 gets sculpted seats this year and a new and improved dashboard display that makes its many features easier to use. Although the CX-3 has had plenty of power in the past, it gets a newer and more powerful engine this year too. While you'll see many changes upon stepping into the CX-3, some changes appear in less obvious places. For instance, the 2020 CX-3 gets an upgraded platform this year called SkyActiv II that improves handling and performance while simultaneously creating more space in the car.

Mazda CX-3 Trims & Features

The latest CX-3 is available in three trim levels that start with the Sport. The exterior has sculpted halogen lights that have an automatic on-off feature. Daytime running lights, another standard amenity, improve nighttime and low-light driving visibility. The base trim has 16-inch alloy wheels paired with all-season tires. Body-colored mirrors on the sides with integrated turn signals are other notable amenities. The base trim gets standard cloth-trimmed seats and seating for five. Split-folding seats in back mean more room and space for all. A seven-inch Mazda infotainment system with Bluetooth standard.

The base trim also gets an integrated emergency alert system, a digital clock, and ambient interior lighting. A 12V outlet, USB charging outlets, and auxiliary jack are other highlights of this trim level. Moving up the mid-level trim, which is called the Touring, you'll also get dynamic vehicle control, a voice-command infotainment system, and sporty cloth seats that are heated. The Touring gets larger 18-inch wheels, heated side mirrors, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and a special black pillar garnish. It adds volume control to the audio system and automatic climate control to the impressive list of standard amenities as well.

Finally, the Grand Touring offers more with a power-sliding moonroof that opens with the touch of your finger and a bright garnish for the front bumper. LED lights with an auto-leveling mechanism are standard. LED headlights, rear lights, and fog lights are standard as well. The interior gets an upgraded appearance in this trim with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a leather-encased gear selector. The front passenger's seat has a multi-way adjustment mechanism that includes height. A special sport edition features headlights with a clear halogen bulb.

2020 Mazda CX-3 Horsepower

All three trim levels of the CX-3 have the same engine, which is a 2.0L with four cylinders. This engine has a maximum power output of 148 HP.

Special features like torque vectoring control retain stability and control on the road. The engine is paired to a six-speed automatic transmission.

Mazda CX-3 Safety

With an abundance of safety features at each trim level, the 2020 CX-3 takes your safety and that of your occupants seriously. The CX-3 features active safety technology inside and out with amenities such as automatic beams and auto-leveling headlights. It warns you of hazards with visual and auditory warnings, and can even apply the brakes to help you stop if needed.
