What's New For the 2021 Mazda MX-5 Miata?

The MX-5 Miata is one of the most celebrated sports cars due to Mazda's driver-centric approach to the sports car formula. The brand is celebrating its heritage and the legacy of the MX-5 Miata with an all-new 100th-anniversary edition. This Centennial package will only be offered on the Grand Touring trim of the 2021 Mazda MX-5 Miata, and you can get it with either a soft or hardtop. All Centennial editions will come with Snowflake White Pearl Mica paint and a striking red interior that goes back to classic Mazda vehicles. Special Centennial badging will be found throughout the car.

The 2021 Mazda MX-5 Miata can be had in three trims to choose from Sport, Club, and Grand Touring. The Sport trim comes with various amenities such as a nine-speaker Bose premium audio sound system and Apple CarPlay integration. You get more luxurious appointments with the Grand Touring trim and is an excellent option if you plan on taking long road trips.

What's Under the Hood of the Miata?

Miata runs on a Skyactiv®-G 2.0-liter engine pushing out 181 horsepower. This is mated to a six-speed manual gear transmission with available automatic paddle shifters for the six-speed configuration. The Miata outfitted with the soft-top convertible can go 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds, while the convertible hardtop does it in 5.8 seconds. Steering is fun and responsive, making the MX-5 Miata a fun car to drive.
