Kelley Blue Book's annual "5-Year Cost to Own Awards" have been handed out and three Mazda models, the 2015 Mazda5, 2015 Mazda MX-5 Miata & 2015 Mazda6, each received one of the prestigious accolades. Boasting incredible long-term value and low depreciation, the cars were clear winners in their respective categories. All three models represent the brand's high-quality craftsmanship and are on sale at Reliable Mazda.
The highly praised Mazda3 was lucky enough to be honored by Kiplinger Personal Finance in their annual 2015 Best Value Awards. Included in the under $20,000 category, the Mazda3 was named "Best-in-Class" for its incredible value and affordability. This marks the second time the Mazda3 has been recognized for its value in the past year. Just last February, the 2014 model was included in U.S. News & World Report's "Best Car for the Money" awards, along with the fully capable Mazda5.
When Mazda first announced they would release a diesel version of their popular midsize sedan, the Mazda6, in North America, longtime fans of the automaker were excited about the model. The goal was to have the car out on the market by 2013, but emissions issues put the company's plans on hold. At the time, many thought the diesel version would never see the light of day, but just recently, Mazda's North American CEO, Jim O'Sullivan, has revealed that's simply not true.
The Mazda6 has officially hit a new milestone, becoming the second fastest model under the Mazda nameplate to reach three million units of production globally. The incredible feat, which was completed at the end of November 2014, took a total of 12 years and nine months to reach. As the automaker's flagship model, the Mazda6's accomplishment is a huge achievement for the company and an even bigger one for the sedan.
Mazda officially unveiled their all-new 2016 CX-3 compact crossover at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. Equipped with the nameplate's full lineup of SKYACTIV technologies, the fresh model is expected to be an inevitable hit for the company and their extensive roster. The crossover is already the fifth vehicle in Mazda's collection of new-generation models to come completely fitted with SKYACTIV, along with the automaker's signature KODO-Soul of Motion styling.
The Mazda RX saw its final days in 2012, and now almost three years after its demise, the company's CEO, Masamichi Kogai, has confirmed that there are no plans in the future to bring back the RX. The brand would like to use its resources on improving its current seven-car lineup instead in order to take the nameplate to the next level and reestablish Mazda as a top competitor in the automotive market.
The numbers are in for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Light Duty Fuel Economy report, and we're happy to reveal that once again Mazda has been named the most fuel-efficient auto manufacturer in the U.S.! Based off the 2013 model year, this is the second consecutive time Mazda has been awarded the honor, which can be attributed to its outstanding SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY.
Mazda has recently taken steps to expand its presence across the market, creating an all-new Kodo-designed chair that fans may soon be able to get their hands on. The fresh creation is all a part of a plan Mazda has been testing out, which centers around the possible production of premium goods. Due to the success of other high-end brands who have ventured outside of the car market, Mazda is considering a step in the same direction.
The 2015 Mazda3 has already been released on the market, but up until now, it's been missing one thing: a manual transmission. When the sedan was first introduced to the public, Mazda claimed the car would be available with the gearbox, but it was initially released with only an automatic transmission. However, many fans can now rest easy, because a six-speed manual has officially joined the lineup, providing the power and capabilities buyers search for.
Following months of speculation and rumors, the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata has finally been introduced to the world and it’s nothing short of amazing. The next-generation model adopts Mazda's latest styling elements, which are carried out throughout their lineup, along with its signature SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY.
