The 2022 Mazda CX-9 comes available with 6 or 7 seats, and is packed with top of the line technologies. This midsize SUV now comes standard with the proprietary i-ACTIV All-Wheel Drive. The all-new Touring Plus joins the updated lineup featuring a handful of enhancements.

2022 CX-9 Trims & Features

A tri-zone automatic climate control system with a pollen filter is available in  the 2022 CX-9 Sport. This base model provides reclining second-row seats and 50-50 folding seats in the third row. Leather trimming covers the vehicle's steering wheel and shift knob. You'll also get cloth-trimmed seats with tri-level heating inside the base edition. The CX-9 Touring is available with captain's chairs, accommodating two people in the middle row. Some updated features on this model include the Rear Power Liftgate and leather upholstery. The CX-9 produces 227 net horsepower when utilizing regular unleaded fuel, the 2.5-L SKYACTIV-G engine block propels the 2022 CX-9. Incorporating the proprietary Dynamic Pressure Turbo technology, the I-4 powerhouse cranks out a maximum of 310 pound-feet of torque. When burning premium unleaded gas, the turbo powerhouse delivers an additional 23 hp and 10 lb-ft. Advanced Direct Injection forces fuel into the combustion chambers of this signature powerplant. Chain-driven DOHC valves with variable valve timing are integrated into the cylinder heads. Built on the trademark SKYACTIV-Drive architecture, a six-speed automatic transmission system works in tandem with the turbo engine. You could engage the Sport Mode and Manual Shift Mode for the signature gearbox. With a boost from the Off-Road Traction Assist, this three-row vehicle confidently navigates unpaved trails. Additionally, the G-Vectoring Control Plus technology improves lateral stability and overall maneuverability on any surface.
