2022 Mazda MX-30 EV

What's New For the 2022 Mazda MX-30 EV?

The biggest change for the 2022 Mazda MX-30 EV comes from how this marks Mazda's big entrance into the electric vehicle market. You could select the hybrid model if the all-electric model makes you nervous. You will also see how the Premium Plus model adds a lot of equipment to the fold like front-cross traffic alert, active blindspot monitoring, heated steering wheel, and a 12-speaker Bose system.

2022 Mazda MX-30 EV Trims & Features

You will only receive one trim with the 2022 Mazda MX-30, but it may be the only trim needed because it comes packed with so much. Introducing the e-SKYACTIV, this electric model uses front-wheel drive, and the car takes an approach far different from anything that you ever saw. For starters, instead of using leather upholstery or plastic trim, the Japanese automaker chose to use a cork trim for its upholstery, which is a highly renewable resource. The center console includes a 7.0-inch touchscreen, and the vehicle comes with plenty of outlets for recharging your smartphone and tablet. Mazda chose boldness in the newest model, like freestyle doors that give the cabin a more open feel.

2022 MX-30 EV Horsepower

As far as the drivetrain goes, this electric vehicle will generate up to 144 horsepower, which, for an electric vehicle, is not bad. The MX-30 EV includes a G-Vectoring Control active chassis. Ultimately, the purpose behind the system is to leverage your torque and the characteristics of the electric motor. While this vehicle remains a firmly all-electric vehicle, the 2023 model plans to add a rotary engine with the goal of extending the driving range. The 2022 model gets a 100-mile range, but the brand offers a rotary range extender for longer driving distances, which is the hybrid model. Important to note, they won't offer that right away.

Mazda MX-30 EV Safety

You receive plenty of decent safety features in the Mazda MX-30 EV, such as blindspot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, rear-cross traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and a driver attention monitor. You also receive what's known as smart brake support. The technology uses millimeter-wave radar instead of an infrared laser to detect obstacles 200 yards away. The brakes apply automatically if the MX-30 senses a risk of collision.
