2021 Mazda CX-50 Exterior

What's New For the 2023 Mazda CX-50?

Designed for adventurous drivers, the 2023 Mazda CX-50 will make a stellar debut in the United States. This compact crossover SUV will have several technologies that improve off-road handling, such as the Mi-Drive system. Heavy-duty roof rails will provide good utility for carrying kayaks, bicycles, and other recreational equipment for road trips. An extended cargo floor will also maximize the storage capacity inside the cabin.

Mazda Kicks Off a New Era With the 2023 CX-50

The 2023 CX-50 will be assembled at the Mazda Toyota Manufacturing in Alabama. Therefore, this all-new crossover SUV will be optimized for an American marketplace that's already packed with plenty of well-established players. However, this newcomer will have plenty of premium technologies and advanced capabilities for competing against top-selling models built for off-roading. For example, the CX-50 will run on the next-generation i-Activ All-Wheel Drive system that's optimized for multi-terrain performance. With access to the Mazda intelligent Drive Select, you will have manual control of the vehicle's AWD. For example, the Mi-Drive technology can send maximum torque to the rear wheels when you encounter rugged landscapes or rough pavement. This all-new mechanical technology will also optimize fuel economy by sending all power only to the front wheels.

Under the hood, the 2023 CX-50 packs a 2.5-liter engine block with a normally aspirated induction system. This standard powertrain generates up to 187 net horsepower as stipulated by the SAE guidelines. The 2.5-L powerplant whips out 227 net hp when paired with a turbocharger. Both four-cylinder engines are connected to a six-speed automatic transmission system. With additional leverage from the G-Vectoring Control technology, this lightweight model will cut through corners with ease. This signature function works in sync with the Towing Mode for pulling a trailer with maximum stability.

This versatile Mazda crossover SUV will have many high-tech items, such as a wide display that stands on the dashboard. Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth will probably be included in the next-generation infotainment console on this all-new model. A digital instrument cluster with colored graphics will be another major technology inside the cockpit. SiriusXM, HD Radio, and several other entertainment channels should make an appearance on the infotainment console. Mazda will probably retain its partnership with the Bose brand for delivering great acoustics inside the cabin. The 2023 CX-50 will receive a handful of premium appointments in interior styling, such as leather seating with elegant stitches.
