Mazda Vehicle Service Warning Indicators
Most vehicle owners aren’t sure what the majority of their dashboard indicator lights mean. We’re all familiar with things like an open door light or low tire pressure, but let’s look at ten of the most common dashboard lights to keep an eye out for.

Airbag Fault
Once you have started up your vehicle, your airbag light should turn off if it’s engaged. If it doesn’t, a professional might need to make a repair.

Low Fuel Level Warning Light
Low fuel isn’t something you want to ignore. You should head to a gas station to fill up when this warning light comes on. It will usually come up when you only have a few more miles worth of gas left in your tank.

Oil Pressure Warning Light
Don’t drive around with low levels of oil in your vehicle. If your dashboard indicates a problem, pull over to check your oil level. If everything seems fine, make a service appointment to have the problem checked out.

Service Vehicle Soon
Routine maintenance should be performed every 5,000 miles or so. This is a friendly reminder from Mazda to let you know it’s time to make an appointment at Reliable Mazda for an oil change, tire rotation, etc. This light can be reset during your appointment for service.

TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System)
Low levels of air in your tires can compromise how well your vehicle handles the road. Check and fill your tires with air if needed. If the light doesn’t reset or air wasn’t needed, you may have a problem with your tire pressure system or sensors.

Slip Indicator
Your vehicle will let you know when your tires are slipping, and when your Vehicle Stability Control and Traction Control systems are in effect. A light that remains on is indicating a problem that should be addressed by a professional at Reliable Mazda.

Charging System Warning Light
An issue with your battery and charging circuit can be due to damaged wiring or a broken fan belt. Get help if you receive a notification from your vehicle that something is going on with your charging system.

Brake System
You won’t lose complete use of your brakes when a problem occurs with your brake system, but issues with your antilock braking system shouldn’t be ignored. This is a major safety concern.

Open Door Warning Light
It’s very common for your trunk or door to not close completely when you’re in a hurry. Your vehicle lets you know something isn’t closed all the way.

Coolant Level Warning
Pull over and immediately seek help when this light comes on. If ignored, your vehicle could overheat and cause destruction of your entire engine. This warning light indicates that the coolant level is too low, or there is a problem with the sensor system. If the light comes on, it’s cause for serious concern. The consequences of a low coolant level can include overheating and the destruction of your engine.
