The 2019 Mazda6, from the exterior, looks the same. The majority of the changes are in the safety systems as well as the interior. There are a total of five trim levels to choose from with the 2019 Mazda6, including the Sport, Touring, Grand Touring, Grand Touring Reserve, and the Signature. The base Sport model includes a number of amenities, such as LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, power side mirrors, power windows, a rearview camera, push-button start, and the MAZDA CONNECT infotainment system. Each trim level after the Sport builds on the number of amenities as well as exchanges a few amenities for premium ones. The Touring, for example, offers a power sliding glass moonroof and heated front seats. The Grand Touring offers an auto-dimming rearview mirror, the Bose CenterPoint 2 surround sound audio system, and the Mazda navigation system. The Grand Touring Reserve features a rear decklid spoiler and driver's seat memory. The Signature adds a front grille with a gunmetal finish and ultrasuede door and dashboard trim inserts.

2019 Mazda6 Exterior FrontThe Mazda6 is available in two different engine types. The first is found within the Sport and Touring trim levels. The base engine is a 187-hp SKYACTIV 4-cylinder engine with VVT and cylinder deactivation along with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The EPA-estimated city/highway MPG is 26/35. Starting with the Grand Touring and going all the way through the Signature trim level, the engine is the 250-hp SKYACTIV Dynamic Pressure Turbo 4-cylinder with VVT. It has the same 6-speed automatic transmission with Sport mode but has G-Vectoring Control SKYACTIV-VEHICLE DYNAMICS. The EPA-estimated MPG for city and highway for this engine is 23/31.
